Achim Baumann and Michael Steffen launch the company BSST Baumann & Steffen Sicherheitstechnik GmbH.
1996
BSST delivers vests throughout Germany to law enforcement clients.
1999
BSST starts its international operations with the successful tender for the Basel District, Switzerland.
1999
The company moves to a new building at its current location in Nellingen.
2000
BSST successfully competes for the Rotterdam Police tender, and further establishes its position in law enforcement tender competition.
2001
Launch of the "PentaSystem" as complete protection concept.
2002
BSST successfully competes for the German Customs tender, and all german Customs Officers receive BSST vests.
2002
The in-house ballistics laboratory is officialy launched.
2003
Certification through the DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 quality management system.
2004
Area of competence expanded to military products, and develop a multi functional protective vest in cooperation with MK Technology GmbH.
2005
BSST is awarded the international tender for the Norwegian Police Force.
2006
BSST is awarded the international tender for the Netherlands Police Force.
2007
The production and storage capacity at Nellingen is doubled through construction of a new building.
2008
With deliveries to Oman and Quatar, BSST sustains expansion of operations in the Middle East.
